Based on testimonies and informations collected during field trips, and on investigation work, the report “Heading south – The dash for unconventional fossil fuels in Argentina” has been published in May 2014 by Friends of the Earth France, Observatorio Petrolero Sur, Friends of the Earth Europe and Milieudefensie (Friends of the Earth Netherlands).
It provides a detailed overview of the issues associated with the exploitation of unconventional oil and gas in Argentina, and contains case studies on three companies: Chevron, Total and Shell.
The short English version of the report includes only the case study on Shell. The short French version of the report includes only the case study on Total.
